Thailand Tidbits is a Tour Coordinator, tour program creator, history nerd and ice hockey lover that ended up in Thailand in the 1990s.

I arrived in Bangkok in 1998. At the time, I was working for the Nordic company Star Tour /Temaresor in the hospitality business. I am still in the same field but now on a freelance basis. My real passion is creating new tour itineraries. Since 2006 I have lived in Chiang Mai and have called it my home. Especially the Northern part has a special place in my heart, but every aspect of the country has its charm. I used to blog in Swedish but stopped around ten years ago. I was too busy touring Asia. When the Covid pandemic struck, I found myself with a lot of time and a desire to share my travel memories and experiences. I also wanted to re-live them myself. Travelling has been part of my whole adult life. Finally, I had the time to share some stories. So hopefully, it can benefit some of you out there.

Sometimes my writing might seem strange since I am Swedish, but I still want to share my experiences in English, so please overlook some of my mistakes and correct me if they are too annoying. My excuse will be that I blog in “Swenglish“. I hope that the meaning of my stories comes through anyway.

Thailand Tidbits will focus on Thailand and other places in Asia that I often go to. I have spent most of my time as a tour coordinator in; China, Taiwan, Japan, Indochina, Myanmar, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and recently Jordan. But Thailand is home, so that’s where most of my tidbits will be about. This page is still under development. It is also a digital journey to better understand WordPress and all the resources that come with it.
