Once a year the city of Yasothon is put on the map for its famous rocket festival. Once the bamboo rockets were made by monks. A very historic destination with many interesting places to visit. River Kwai and Kanchanaburi are so much more than a bridge. It is the story of the Death Railway and hardships during the Second World War, all located in a very stunning landscape. Enjoy some nights at a resort by the river and explore the sites.
On your way to Koh Samui? Or just fancy staying in a really charming southern town for some authentic South curries and local life. Give Surat Thani 24 hours of your journey.
Phayao is a kind of forgotten, of the beaten track town. It has a pleasant lake and nice mountain scenery. Enjoy local activities in the park at night.
