Trang like many southern towns in Thailand built its wealth on tin mining. Now tourism is the main income but interestingly the archipelago of Trang with its beautiful islands is still a kind of backwater. You can easliy spend a lot of time here, eating super breakfasts in Trang town and relaxing on the islands.
